okay this book makes NO sence wat so ever to me...i cant get past page 2...and i have to read it...wow...i dont think sooo...ill try it...but wont like it.

I think your book is awsome.But its boring in the beginning and gets exciting in the middle!Anyway good job!Love the book!

the book is really boring until he finds out that Gebu is robbing tombs and he follows gebu and wenamon into the tomb.

Our teacher told us to read chapters 5 and 6 for homework. The only problem was I could not put it down. I realy wish she could have made a second book to it

Actually, one of the reasons this book is so great is because it gives you just enough detail to know what it was like, but it leaves enough unsaid so the reader can complete the picture in his/her own mind in a way that words could never accomplish. If you want to talk about going into a lot of details, read Charles Dickinson....funny how he gave a lot more detailes than McGraw, yet he's considered one of the greatest writers of all time.

I have been assigned to read this book for school and answer questions that looked pretty boring. When I started reading it, I became more interested. It teaches you how ancient Egyptian life was. This book is about a young Egyptain goldsmith named Ranofer who is under control of his evil and greedy half-brother Gebu, after his father, Thutra dies. In chapter 4, he is forced to have the cruel job as a stonecutting apperentice as a punishment. However, in chapter 10, he discovers a golden goblet that Gebu stole from a tomb. Any tombrider would be hanged and executed. Unfortunatly, Ranofer has no way of accusing his evil master of this crime, no one would believe him. With the support of his loyal friends Heqet and the "Ancient One", Ranofer goes off to reveal this shameful crime. I haven't still finished reading, but I can't wait untill I do.
You should definetly get it.
No wonder it has won the Newbery award and is a class assignment!

The book was terrible! People who like this book I have one question for you... Have you actually read a real book before?!? This book has no real imagination and has detail after detail after deatail... and so on!
