Hi all. It seems very quiet at the moment. Hope everyone and their cats are okay. Inspired by cats, and Deric, I wrote a chidrens book about cats two years ago. I have finally found a publisher (lucky for me she is a cat lover too!)and hopefully it should be out in September. Thank you Deric for your inspiration!

Kat, my heart goes out to you and little Pumpkin. I had a kitty years ago named Harlock who went through a similar experience. God bless you for your caring heart. I think all of us know the expense of veterinary medicine these days, and your willingness to go that extra mile for Pumpkin to give him some additional time with quality of life is extraordinary. Anneke, I'm so happy your health is improving, and agree with Susan that a kitty to love and care for is possibly the best medicine...ask Diana, she's got Hugo, and honestly it doesn't get better than that. Audrey, keep fighting, sounds like you've got wonderful support from your hubby. Bella is loving me more and more every day, and really seems happy in her new home. Love to all, with special kisses to Deric and Aileen. Jan

Hi there, and especially to Audrey, so sorry to hear about your depression - it is an awful situation to be in. Will be thinking of you, and hoping that you'll find an effective treatment, soon. Best wishes, as always, to Deric and Aileen. Love, Bea

Hello Everyone, I've just read all your messages, having been away for a while after being admitted to hospital as an emergency with pneumonia and dehydration. I'm home and on the mend now after a horrid time. Despite my husband being home, Hugo, our ginger tom has taken it upon himself to be my Chief Carer, accompanying me wherever I need to go. I go upstairs carefully to the bathroom, he is with me every step of the way. He waits outside the bathroom door, then sees me downstairs again, lying across the back of my chair until he's needed again. Only when I invite him, will he come on my lap for a cuddle. His sensitivity is incredible! He tried to teach these ways to 4 year old tabby, Henry, but he proved too skittish. Deric, your books have helped me enormously lately, so I've often thought of you. Love to everyone who posts here. Diana - Southampton xx

Dear Kat, so terriby sorry to hear about Pumpkin, it is a hard time ahead for you both. I will keep you both in my prayers, hoping that you both can enjoy the time left to you without too much pain and distress. When the time comes, I pray that Pumpkin can softly glide over to the other side where Thermal and Company will be there to greet her. She will not be alone. You will have wonderful memories of her and the knowledge that she loved you, also for giving her a wonderful family and happy life. Bless you, love Susan

Dear All - Haven't posted for a while but I still visit and read all your news with interest. It’s been a weird couple of months and I just about feel strong enough to post about it now. For the 2nd time my darling Pumpkin has been diagnosed with Cancer and this time her prognosis is poor. She is in the middle of a course of chemotherapy that serves to keep her in remission for the duration of treatment and give her a good quality of life, but once the maximum of 6 treatments has been reached, nature will take its course - She may have anything from a couple of weeks to maybe even a few months. She’s put up a brave and spirited fight each step of the way – from the initial diagnosis just before Christmas to now - having gone through emergency surgery (the mass on her liver ruptured causing internal bleeding), the subsequent blood transfusion (who even knew cats could have blood transfusions?!) to all the other pokes, prods and tests she has been through, and all the time she is doing so, I will continue to fight with her, and for her. For now she is with me, she is well, and she is playing like a kitten and eating me out of house and home! Please remember her in your prayers. God Bless to you all and your fluffy companions, and love to Deric and Aileen and family xx
