Who do you think would play some of the main characters if the books were amde into films? I always see Orlando Bloom as Troy, and Courtney Cox as Fanny. No idea why!

I read all of V.C. Andrew's books too. I'm reading Delia's gift. V.C. Andrews is my favorite author.

I really didnt like the later books at all. I liked Casteels, Dollanganger and even Landry but Cutler went off the boil as did LOgan's I thought so I stopped reading. WHat are the more recent ones like? Any good?

I am back. The Logan series was my second favorite after the Dollangangers. It seems Jenny and I are at odds again over the Logans. I felt the whole series was not predicable. Their family tree kept changing. Just when Melody thought she had it figured out there was a twist with tons of incest. Let us not spoil it for JRH but Melodys father was a big surprise. Neiderman left small hints in the first two books. He was really planning ahead like with Cary and Lauras relationship. In MELODY she considers it just a nasty rumor spread by the mean school kids. In HEART SONG Melody starts to suspect more with good reason. Even engaged to Cary she never has the courage to ask him point blank if the twins were in love. She probably fears his answer will be yes. The full truth is not known until Lauras story MUSIC IN THE NIGHT. I will not spoil it for you JRH. My only prediction was that Melody, Cary, and Laura were in fact triplets. I was wrong. Olivias story was one of the worst VCA books for me. Nothing new or interesting happened. Olivia was a poor villainous and I could not feel sorry for her as she brought most of her problems on herself and did nothing to change her situation. As for things going down hill after the Logans, yes they did. I did like the first two WILLOW DeBeers books. They were good soap operas. The prequels were a major let down. They could have had a lot of potential. The BROKEN WINGS series starts out OK but the second book MIDNIGHT FLIGHT left me floored. I stayed late at work because I could not put it down and was haunted by nightmares for weeks to come. I really felt I was one of those tortured girls. BROKEN WINGS can be summed up in 1000 words and is only worth reading as an introduction as to where these characters are coming from. Yes they have predictable VCA lives. RAIN the film was great. I have not read any of the Hudson series but the screenplay by Neiderman was probably pretty consistent. The production quality is below average but the story and great acting by Rain make it an A plus.

Having been a VC Andrews reader for years and enjoying MOST of her books, I have to say I am extremely disappointed in the Delia Series. It is sad, depressing, morose. To believe that one horrible thing after the next continues to happen to this young girl. That her disgusting family members continue to triumph time and time again is ridiculous. Last VC Andrews book for me. Makes me think the Andrews family has NO happiness in their owns lives.

I have just re-read the Landry series and was so disappointed with Pierre. I didn't remember him being so spineless! Those of you who have read Tarnished Gold will know what I'm talking about, but the way he ran off when Jack came after him and he abandoned Gabriel was awful. I don't understand why he couldn't have left Daphne and settled with Gabriel if the marriage was so awful and he loved Gabriel so much? Also, it didn't tally with what was in all the other books. Ruby mentions quite frequently how Pierre adored Daphne, yet in Tarnished Gold he paints it as a cold, unloving relationship. Didn't make sense to me.

The book is called Delia's Crossing, not Delia's Passing.
