I officially love all your books right now I am on fallout and I absolutely adore Autumn. My favorite so far though is Impulse a lot of teens I know were influenced by this book you helped them through their hard times. Thank you for writing your amazing stories I can't wait to read Tricks, Triangles, and Perfect. They should be simply flawless <3. Will you please come back to Lexington, KY too I never got to go and see you.

i totally loved tricks. was my fave so far. mostly because people don't address the issue of teen sex and how complex it can make your life. i cant wait till the sequel..almost done with fallout. and loving it. it just doesn't speak to me as much as the others. because i, personally, haven't experienced the monster. but i do love you, Ellen. i saw you in '09 in Lexington, Ky. and i'd love to see you again.

When I read Impulse I knew exactly what Vanessa was going through and it felt good to know that at least one adult out there knew what I was going through. Thank you so much for the inspiration and I can't wait to read Fallout.

I love all of your books! I have read Crank, Glass, Tricks, and Impulse, and I can't wait for Fallout. I love the way all of your books are written in verse. I have found I can really connect to the carectors.

TRIANGLES will be my first adult novel in verse. It's about mid-life freakouts, raising teens, chronic illness, infidelity, friendship, betrayal, etc.
There will be a companion YA from the teens' POVs, probably a 2012 book.

Ellen Hopkins, I'd just like to say what an inspiration the book impulse was. I tried to kill myself in march, all while I was reading your books. When I went into the mental hospital my mother bought me the book impulse. While I was in the hospital I started and finished the book. Your book, saved my life. Seeing how you wrote that book, and how, even if they were just characters, other people delt with the feeling of uselessness and worthlessness, helps me still. I carry your book with me everywhere, just to remind me of how far I've come since the day that I opened that book. So, thank you for having the balls to do what others were afraid to do. Thank you for telling the truth, and not sugar coating it.
