I loved S is for Silence, but examining Kinsey's logic Idon't get how Tom Padgett's buying Violet a dog a month before her death would prove he killed Violet

I think that there is something of a logical inconsistency with the subplot involving Melvin Downs. We find out that the Fredricksons have lied about their accident on page 282 when Kinsey speaks to Lettie Bowers. But then Kinsey still serves Melvin on page 317, mentions nothing about the circumference of facts she has unfolded, and then laments not being able to tell him the deposition will no longer be necessary at the end of the book when the case is dropped without it. We never even hear her discussion with Effinger about the new evidence from Bowers.
Sue Grafton usually has smoother lines. This one just seems a bit contrived in its disorder.

Though, well-written, I didn't care for T. I thought the Millhone character had a real edge to her and gone was the easy-going, likeable and almost laid back woman. To be replaced by someone who judged others and was frankly mean. I'm glad I didn't buy this one, just got it from library.

When is a "U" book coming out??? I guess I just read her books too fast. I am now going to start over with "A" and hope "U" has come out by the time I get to "T" again...I am sure I will hate Sonja just as much the 2nd time.

I am in the process of reading 'T is for Trespass'. This is the first in the series that I don't like reading. I'm up to chapter 26 and the Solana character has succeeded in ticking me off the entire book. It's the first time I really hate a character and I'm just waiting for something bad to happen to her.

I just finished Trespass in two days, as usual for all of your books. I have read all of them, starting with A for Alibi. Your writing brings such pleasure to me, I can hardly wait until your next book is published.
I feel as if I have know these characters for years and years and have come to love each and every one.
I will be so very sorry with you get to
Z. I can not express how much please I have obtained from all of your wonderful books and such vivid characters.
