Bobbi posts on 7/24/2009 11:54:28 AM I for one enjoy all of Janets books. Can't be to much of Granny or Lula. Did not miss the sister at all. Maybe tic and CHL should move along to someone else that writes books they seem to want. No sense in wasting their time on something they don't care for.
Maria Turchan posts on 7/24/2009 9:42:22 AM I love my Plum books. I recommend them to everyone! I prefer the more serious skips she needs to get (the Slayers, funeral director (can't think of his name!), etc. They are more detailed and more involved. My biggest complaint would be my agreement that the books seem to be getting shorter???
LG posts on 7/21/2009 4:45:43 PM I love the Stephanie Plum series, however I wish the books that I am now waiting a year for would be a little longer. For the last few years each new book seems to be getting shorter and shorter.

susan roe posts on 7/16/2009 9:14:05 PM I have read all of the Stephanie Plum series and I loved them all I am now reading the full house series and am enjoying them as well I would definitely advise anyone to start the series it will make you laugh and with all thats happening around us it is a series to take you to another place and give you a lot of laughs I hope Janet keeps these books coming I await her next book hopefully after 15 there will be more
tlc posts on 6/29/2009 10:31:38 AM CHL, you are so right. I do believe that she just strings along the Babes to keep selling the books. Actually she keeps all of us stringing along. She said in her interview on Borders.com that she will continue the series as long as we keep buying thet books. It doesn't appear that her fan base has deminished by any means, so I believe that she will keep re-writing the same story lines as long as we keep reading/buying.
CHL posts on 6/28/2009 11:50:51 PM I thought FLF was fairly boring, and I think JE has about run the series into the ground. I hate to say that because I used to love this series. Now there is no character development, dialogue and situations are recycled, and we are being given constant jokes about body functions that appeal more to middle or high school kids instead of adults. Books early in the series had an edge with gritty characters. That's what I want back. I never cared whether Stephanie ended up with Morelli or Ranger; I just wanted their characters developed. I think JE has clearly decided to put Stephanie with Joe when she decides to end the series. If she was going to start something with Stephanie and Ranger, she would have done it in Twelve Sharp or this one. In fifteen books, Stephanie and Ranger have never been in a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship, but she has been in one with Joe in nearly all of them. I just don't see JE changing course now. I think she gives the Babes just enough Ranger/Stephanie flirting in each story to keep them hopeful (and buying her books), but I just don't think it's going to happen.
Jodi posts on 6/28/2009 5:09:29 PM I found 15 to be ok, not great. I thought too that Steph needed one more time with Ranger, It seems pretty clear that Steph lusts after Ranger, but I don't think she loves Ranger like she loves Morelli. Steph needs to get past her lust for Ranger so she can get on with her relationship with Morelli. I think Morelli has grown alot, and he no longer is trying to change Steph, he accepts and loves her for who she is, if he didn't he would not care about her. I also think Ranger is more restricting than Morelli and thinks less of Steph's abilities. If Ranger trusted her abilities he would not have one of his merry men always following her around. Anyway by the way 15 ends, Steph had a chance to stay with Ranger in his apartment, but she choose to move out and ended up over at Morelli's.
debbie posts on 6/27/2009 11:49:26 PM OH, you can't have too much Lula, or grandma for that matter. I loved Finger Lickin' Fifteen. And while I wouldn't mind her having one more fling with Ranger, she belongs with Morelli. And Bob, lol.
connie posts on 6/27/2009 11:35:08 PM Thanks Peaches, I read Fifteen the day after it hit the stores. I did like it but I agree, too much Lula and Stephanies family even Dad had to disturb her. I think she might have to shoot them all. I do hope the next book is more favorable to Range. He has been so good to her and I think he really loves her. He just can't say it. She needs the change. Like I said he wants to make her happy and protect her in what ever she wants. not to change her like Joe.Rangers personality is really changing but Joe is sort of stagnant
peach posts on 6/25/2009 2:56:02 PM I have completed reading "finger lickin fifteen". Great humor, great story line. But I was disappointed that Ranger and Stephanie did not connect in the romance sense. I am a huge fan and I love all the characters but for me,a tiny bit too much Lula. I enjoy the books because of the connection between all the characters but I felt that in this one Stephanie was a little detached. Not one episode of "eye rolling". I hope the next book builds on the relationship between Stephanie and Ranger. After all, he may have issues with emotional attachment, marriage, etc.,but so does Stephanie. I think he accepts her for who she is and does not try to change her, unlike Morelli. Thanks.
