i have tried and tried, yet i cannot bring myself to read the sweet far thing again. i was so freaking depressed the first time, that i cant deal with the pain again... sad because it is such a great work of art!!!

well i just finished the second book in the UGLIES trilogy and i know that there is a fourth that scott westerfield wrote(following the same plot) so we can hope that Libba does the same thing, even if it is not exactly following Gemma. maybe following what happens with the magic and who will control it

Casting is not done for the first movie. Libba just posted on her LJ that they're "hammering out" the script, so don't believe anyone who tells you they're in the film.

Me too! I was thinkin like, when she goes to make the alliance, the magic is gonna change or something, and she can get Kartik from the Tree:) Thatd be coooll. And, and then they will have babies! :D, lol.

Makes me sad though... I really want the story to continue. I do think that she might write another book that follows the series, like a "5 years later" thing or something. Or maybe she might do like Gemma having a child and the magic continuing. Hey, wishful thinking isn't a crime. =P I wish Gemma would have become the tree instead. <.< Grrrrr.
