Wow, I am only half way through A GIRL NAMED DISASTER, and I love it so much. It takes place in 1981, AND she is only 11,AND she lives in a Shona village; it's so neat to listen to Nancy Farmer's description of all the new stuff Nhamo is learing about. Like the electric lights, swimming, guitar, and so much more! I'm going to go read some more...
