I'm am extremely excited for the fourth book in the Pit Dragon Series to come out. Ever since I first read the trilogy, everytime I went to the book store, I would serch it in their online library to see if it had come out yet! Now that I know why its not out yet, I will try to be more patient. I do love the books though and hope that all with illnesses in your family get better. I hope the book come out soon!!!

CANT WAIT FOR THE NEW BOOK!!!! I've read and re-read the Pit Dragon Trilogy (Series Now) many times! Too many to count. Some of the most thrilling books I've ever read! My thanks for to you for writing them! You are an outstanding author. Best Wishes! -Chris-

thanks i have actualy gotten two outher people obsesed about the books and on top of that i hahe red the book more than 5 times each

Don't be confused. Just understand that I wrote that opening chapter at the behest of the editor who was really trying to get me to write the entire book. He did it when they reprinted and boxed the trilogy. Also, he wanted to be sure there was a balancing first chapter of the next book because the first two now had such a thing.
Writing the rest of it took over three years, during which time my beloved husband of 44 years died and I couldn't concentrate for nearly a year. That editor (and the next one) are gone, and Harcourt has been bought by Houghton Mifflin and I sure hope the book will still be brought out. Welcome to the world of publishing. It's not in the hands of the writers, that's for sure.
Oh, and by the way, the first chapter has since changed quite a bit.

Tony--read down. The date (right now) for the fourth book, DRAGON'S HEART is spring '09.

I'm a huge fan. i would like to know where the 4th book in the pit dragon chronicles,would be when it comes out and if you know any good dragon books.That are fiction. Because i am a huge reader.I've read all the harry potter,eargon books and a book called the secret of dragon home plus your books at least 7 times.Thanks a big fan
