First of all v.c andrews is an amizing writer. You have to give credit to the ghost writer for the fact that he has to be as twisted and just wierd. I loved all of the book and i have read about fourty or more and i enjoyed every single one. The ghost writer has big shoes to fill and he is doing a great job. I give props to the ghost writer.

I live for the novels that were written by V.C Andrews. She is my favorite author of all times. I do disagree however with the negitive opinions against the ghoast writer. The last two books written in the Casteel series were very, very good...I feel he completed her story. The Cutler series I found were also very very good as well. He put so much into the characters of Jimmy and Dawn, I could'nt help but feel as though I really missed them after reading the final novel of that series. If we cant have V.C., I think that author will do...he's very good!!!

I love the Casteel series. I wish that the ghostwriters could start writing better stories and be up to par with the original V.C. Andrews. The newer books do not compare. And, I am in love with the character of Troy. OMG!! Why can't the new writers create a character that is that intense, gripping, and as mysterious and electrifying such as Troy! Man, what an intense and exciting character! And, what a great series! You just can't wait to find out what happens next.

I don't really like the ghost writer, either. The series are always predictable. But I did see the movie Rain. Much better than the book. I liked that Rain wasn't a slut and her brother wasn't in love in her. I hope they do more movies about her. At least it seems like they would. In the movie her aunt never found out about her real identity.

I totally agree, Andrew Neiderman clearly thinks he's onto a winner with the latter books in terms of "I'll churn out any old rubbish and people will lap it up because it has VC Andrews stamped all over it." Err wrong!
I haven't read any new stuff since I read the god-awful Runaways saga and closed the book at that annoying little one having a panic attack or something and could only be roused by the rest of the girls holding hands and chanting "we'll always be sisters". My God.
But the Casteel saga and Dollangager saga still bring a lump to my throat even now, 15 years after I first read them. I'm surprised that most people on here tend to dislike Web of Dreams. It's actually one of my favourites and I was really shocked to discover that Leigh wasn't some conniving little harlot but a decent girl who was taken advantage of.

Hi all,
I do love Vc Andrews, but am frusterated with this ghost writer. I think the Casteel series was wonderful, except for the last two written. Sadly then I pick up the Dawn series only to be able to completely predict all of it!!! At least with the real VC you can't figure it out until it's written. Has anyone noticed the similarities in Christie and Annie. It's like this ghost writer couldn't come up with anything more than parents dying, only to be come on to by an older family member (tony, and Phillip), who keeps mixing them up for their mom or grandmother, then of course to fall in love with a family member who wasn't really a blood member? I noticed in Heaven, Dark Angel, and of course the entire flowers in the Attic series, that I was never sure what was next, but this ghost writer is something else.
I also feel like if this ghost writer would've written Heaven, than according to his style she would've HAD to of fallen in love with Tom, especially when they found out they weren't related. LOL does anyone else see this? And I feel like in the Cutler series they really cut off a good character with Clara Sue, by killing her, it made it boring. It was like, wow, what's next, oh, wait she's dead. Just a standard car wreck.
I found some confusing things, almost typos in the Cutler series. When Dawn is being told the truth about Clara Sue, with Bronson Alcott. He talks about his sister being sick. And when he's talking about her picture, he says she just died 2 years ago. But she died before Clara Sue was born. Twilights Child. page 132. "That's my sister Alexandra..." "...She died a little more than two years ago"
But on page 142 it talks about her dying, and by then phillip had been born.
The other one in Midnight whispers. page 58. Christie is going to blow out her candles. And it's like the writer forgot who he's writing about. Because it says "Dawn," she called. Is Dawn calling herself.
LOL, I am frusterated, because I love the real books and series. I read them when I was a teenager. I remember not being pleased with the Cutler series then either. I don't know if I'll pursue the books any further. They are just too much the same now.
