The first Bentley Little novel I read was The Town. I couldn't put it down. I've read one other of Little's novel, The Association, which was absolutly great. I'm looking forward to reading all his novels. I'm hooked!

I did find him in "The Walking". Phillip Emmons (Bentley Little's real name) was a referral source. I feel sure he is in all the books and I missed him. I found Phillip in The Walking and The Store and The Resort. Please let me know where you found him. To my delight I have found 4 I haven't read. They aren't in my library but I can buy them. Help me find the author's signature in his books.

Ok, the first book I picked up was The Resort. I was skeptical at first becuase it seemed like it was going to be simliar to The Shinning. Boy am I glad I decided to give it a try. I read it all in one day as the plot was too great to abandon. The following day I had to go back to B&N and I picked up The Store, The House, The Revelation, and The Association. Within 2 weeks I had owned and read every single Bentley Little book that I could find. With no new book out I am back to reading The Resort, The Store and The Association (my top 3 picks) I hope another book is coming out soon

I feel like I'm late to the party. I am just now finishing my first Bentley Little book, The Summoning. This book is HOT, can someone maybe suggest a good follow-up because I can't wait to tear into another one of his reads.

I have now finished all the Bentley Little's except "The Collection" which I started and didn't want to finish. I was wrong about Phillip Emmons being in every book. I've been looking and didn't find him. I liked that writer's touch.

Absolutely loved it. I'm a rural letter carrier who loves to read especially this type of genre. Little nailed the mailman. Several co-workers borrowed and read this and agree that it is definitely a must read for rural carriers and anyone else who wants an exceptional read.

How many Samanatha's are from Juniper, AZ?
I am reading the Resort now and Phillip Emmons is eating in the restaurant and tells the characters he is a writer. Where did he slip in the Mailman? He is like Hitchcock and puts himself in every book.

In yesterday's post I made a typing error. The Store was published in 1998 not 1990.

William Faulkner used the same characters. The Store was published in May 1990 and The Resort Sept. 2004. Wouldn't that make Sam about 24? I think the subtle things and the writing make the works very interesting.
