I've only read Number The Stars and the Giver but I loved them both. I'm in the middle of like 3 books right now but when i get more time i'm going to read Into The Blue and The Messenger also.

I rather liked the Messanger and The Giver, but I'm not sure how I feel about Gathering Blue. I have this weird feeling for it. But at least Lois Lowry made Kira a more likable character in it; I mean, much different from perfect, whole characters. And I don't actually think she's dangerous to minds, because if she believes that children aught to know how things were like, then she can show them (but then, I always have thought that ignorance was the greatest fault).

I loved Number the Stars. It was extremely informative and uplifting. However, I hated Gathering Blue. I thought it was an apologistic introduction to fascist rule. The fact that Kira stays in the village is extremely stupid. Isn't that what the Jews in Germany did during WWII? Just what is the point you are trying to make? What are you saying to children? That they should tolerate tyranny or that they can possibly correct it in spite of their limitations? If so, I think you are dangerous to young minds.

I just LOVED Messenger! I really felt what Matty was feeling! She writes it so that you feel you are in the story looking at what is going on. I really hope she keeps on writting more wonderful books!

I loved this book. I loved everything to it and everything about it. I seriously think there should be a movie. And I have found the perfect soundtrack. "Dangerous to know" by Hillary Duff. I was seriously freaked out when I heard this song. The first I heard it, I was like "THE GIVER!" All my friends agree with me. You guys should check it out.
