I didn't quite understand why the Japanese tourists in "The Handmaid's Tale" came to visit Gilead. How are they able to go shopping, if they cannot pay with money and have to pay with tokens?

Virginia has written a 130 page mistery novel and I am having trouble finding a publisher who will allow me to submit it to their editor. It is a great story and I am sure it would be a hit. She has started her second book. I would like to talk to M.A. to try to get a publisher to pay attention to a wonderful future writer.

To those of you who wish to contact Margaret Atwood personally, I wish you luck. There is no email contact listed on her site and if you wish to have her sign one of her books she will do it only electronically.
As a former fellow poet in SGWU university with Margaret, I sent her a letter a few months ago to renew our acquaintance. I received no reply.

I am wondering if there is value in my precious little find?
It is a paperback, slight crack on top of spine, small sticker residue in the centre of the cover, clean crisp pages, barely opened, very little shelf wear.
To be published OCtober 3 1981 Uncorrected Advance Proof Special preview copy of MArgaret Atwood Bodily Harm.

I was wondering, what was Mrs. Atwoods background/ family histroy was, what influenced her writing, what kind of poems she writes, what the overll theme of her poetry is, and if there were any qoutes on what others think of her work, i would really apprecaite this information
