I just finished reading 'Fat Free & Fatal'! OMGoodness!!! I think it's the best one so far ... I just love to see how Van & Dirk's relationship is progressing. It's so sweet to see them woo-ing one another like shy kids. :lets out a deep, restful sigh: Kudos, Sonja ... Kudos!

Dear Ms. Massie,
I have only recently discovered your Savannah Reid series and have quickly become a fan. The members of the Midnight Magnolia Detective Agency are a winsome bunch (even Dirk), and Granny Reid is a pure delight. I look forward to reading about their future exploits.
As a Spanish instructor, I must point out that the name of the city where the intrepid investigators live, San Carmelita, is ungrammatical. Since Carmelita is a woman's name, the word for "saint" should be "Santa"--as in Santa Bárbara or Santa Catalina--rather than "San"--appropriate for male saints such as San Francisco or San José.
Revising the name of the city would certainly be cause for civic festivities with a lot of hoopla--and perhaps a murder?
Changing the name would also, of course, entail a great deal of nuisance and expense, as signs would need to be replaced, new stationery items (including new forms for the police department) ordered, and police cars repainted, among other things. Dirk would surely find plenty of reasons for complaint.
A Spanish teacher might be the person who gets the ball rolling for the name change, but please don't kill her off. I want to be around to see how Savannah and her friends catch all the bad guys!

Hi I just had to write to you and say what a wonderful author you are. You are one of my favorites. I am now reading your new book and it is great as always. I do have one question though, In your book it has your website listed as www.gamckevett.net but when you go to it, it is not your website. Is it no longer up or is their problems with it? Have a great day.
