Why would I need to post here any more? David Palmer has been visiting the AnalogSF.com forum once every week or two, chatting and letting us know what he's working on.

Boy, I offer up a little constructive criticism and what happens? Everybody sulks for eight months! Has anybody else out there, have a different or similar opinion. Be happy already!

About time to see some work from you. Greetings from 3 dogs and a macaw. Keep the faith.

when is Special Education to be published?

I've read TRACKING twice and I liked it. However...I can't help but being a bit disturbed and disappointed that our sweet little girl (Candy Smith/Foster) went from (sugar & spice and everything nice) to COLD BLOODED SERIAL KILLER! What's the point of saving all of mankind, if you can't also save a bit of kindness, morality and decency.

Any new news about when Special Education will be published? For the love of {insert preferred deity}, I've been waiting over twenty years!! How's about a hint...? Thanks!

Starexplorer, et al. My pleasure. I did manage to get copies of the analog serial and stayed up until 5 in the morning reading it, which distressed my wife, but, darn it, I've waited 25 years for this book! I was impressed/awed/amazed at how good it was, and once again have to say that it's every bit (prepare for blasphemy) as good as RAH. Assuming that Mr. Palmer every happens to note this, thank you! It was almost good enough to forgive the wait, but, I swear, if I have to wait another 25 years for the next book I shall be vexed sir! Vexed! lol, kidding aside. I very much enjoyed the book and am very much looking forward to reading the rest of the Emergence* series as well. You've been sorely missed and I am delighted to see you back in production. *Even if I, still, don't get all the puns.

LOL Bill! And thank you to you and to Wes for keeping us updated! Tracking was a fun romp like Emergence, and I loved the illustration as well. Please keep us informed!

I apologize to all, life has taken unusual turns (as it is wont to) but the Wormhole Press versions of Dave's new works are actually proceeding and, have I anything to say about it, will be worth the anticipation. At the moment, a disaster rivaling the Mauritania or Titanic has been preoccupying my attention. I hope you will bear with me, the welfare of a child is at stake and nothing ... I repeat, NOTHING ... is more important at this moment. I dasn't say more, particularly online. So, in deference to David and his and my own career, I briefly wish you, All the best, always, Bill P.S. -- Hang in, folks -- this will all be worth the wait and buzz, but "my" Candidia is being used as a weapon more vile than you can imagine (see the Analog illustrations) and while she may have been lost for the book versions, I am COMMITTED to saving her from a fate truly worse than death. I love her dearly, and am in fear for her mortal safety.
