I am doing a grade 12 english report on you and i have to write either an argumentative or literary essay on your novel "A Time for Dancing". Amazing Novel. I also have to do a media component containing a picture of the novel, which i have; a plot synopsis, again I have; a excerpt, I am still not sure what part to use, the whole book was well made; and author biograpghy which i am having trouble finding important information about you. Have you done a biography at all that you could mabye tell me a sight i could find it at; and then last but not realese advanced press reviews... which i am still tracking down. So any help would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to reading "The Farther You Run". Thank you and good luck with all of your writing.

caitlin - i was born and grew up in san francisco, studied dance since i was 9, graduated college with theater/dance - my parents were hard working and relatively poor - I worked for my dance classes and i love to teach and to write.

I have to give a brief summary about you for a book report, and I can't find facts like where you were born, when you were born, childhood experiences, and education. If you could e-mail stuff like that it would be greatly appreciated.

I have read you novel "The Farther You Run" and i just loved it, it only took me a day to read it i just could not put it down.but i having a hard time trying to find a biography of you for my english paper about your book and you so i was wonder if you would be able to help me with that. thank you for your post about my books. I'm not sure what you need for a bio but would be happy to answer questions (i'll check back here soon). Meanwhile -I'm a dancer, actor, high school drama teacher, mom, and writer. I have a 16 year old daughter, grew up in San Francisco, live in L.A., and my third novel will be released in February 2006, called CIRCLE THE SOUL SOFTLY. Does that help?

davida, I absolutely loved your book A time for Dancing. On top of the fact that i learned so much about friendship, I now know what it must feel like to lose a best friend. Thank you for a great book!
