To AmyE: I know this is late, but have you tried eBay? There are some cheap ones there right now. There are also other websites for books where I'm sure you could get a copy.

It's so good! thought I wouldn't like it at first but it keeps getting more and more interesting by the page! it's fantastic!

Someone mentioned that the movie was made for TV and could only be available if someone taped it. I would guess that taping it was probably not possible since the VCR wasn't around yet in 1974, the only time it was shown!

PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW TO GET A COPY OF THE CAY VIDEO WITH JAMES EARL JONES!! I HAVE TAUGHT THIS BOOK FOR FOURTEEN YEARS AND WOULD ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO SHOW THE VIDEO TO MY STUDENTS! THIS IS MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE BOOK TO TEACH!!

I had an opportunity of reading my grandson's copy of this fine novel, and highly recommend it to school children of all ages. Moreover, I was in the audience in Chicago this past February where I was priviledged to see an excellent production staged there which featured a fine young actor, 12 year old Mitchell Hollis in the roll of Philip. Outstanding.
