the story is quite good..I do enjoy it..I wonder most of the novels of Paulo coelho is searching for something..well in the novel he describes the things there clearly..I love to read another book from him.

The setting of the Alchemist is the Andalusian Plains (in Spain), then into parts of Arabic lands and Egypt. Hope that helped. Now can anyone help me? Im looking for some good Italian Literature because I need to do a paper on the subjects of love/romance trends in the Italian culture for my 11th grade Honors English paper, and i was wondering if anyone could recommend a good novel to me that I can base it on. Im trying to prove that Italians are more passionate and free with love because they as a society value pleasure and enjoy life. It needs to be fairly well known, preferably somewhat of a classic. The novel also needs to be set in Italy. Anything anyone could give me would be a huge help, ive been doing booksearches on here for days. I would really appreciate a good recommendation! Thank you all so much! - desperate squirrel girl

I believe that none should 'ever stop dreaming'...because this only helped me to get my real-love in life! This book has really helped me to regain faith in life, because it explained to me that 'everything happens for a reason', so none should ever stop dreaming!

I have read many books of sir paulo coelho including ALCHEMIST.I want to ask a question.Santiago found his Personal Legend at the age of about 18 or 20.He has achieved his mission in his life. Now,is he going to waste his life from now onwards? Is he going to relax forever or is he going to die as his mission in life has fulfilled?

I read The Alchemist and found discussion about Omens/Signs that come on our path to inform us about impending events...Here i am in bit confusion...how can we interpret omens' messege or recognise that certain things are omens displayed before us.
