As I know, A Thousand Country Roads and High Plains Tango are sequel to The Bridges of Madison County. I love R.J.Waller and Nicholas Sparks and I'm the editor (simplified Chinese characters) of High Plains Tango and True Believer, Message in a Bottle, The Notebook.

To all the readers of this site, what other books have you read which would fall into the "Bridges" genre? Anyone a Nicholas Sparks fan?

Does anyone have any idea when RJW's new book will be published?

I highly recommend that all of you read RJW's non-fiction work (i.e., his personal essays). In particular, "Old Songs in a New Cafe" is fantastic. There is some overlap of essays in his three collections of essays. Check it out.

I just got High Plains Tango published (Simplified Chinese Characters). Simply it sells good. Waller's readers tell me all kinds of reasons why they love this book: "it tells what's the difference between spirit love and body love"; "giving an image of how sweet a love-making could be"; "Carlisle's devoting to wood craft attracts me so much"... In June or someday, I'm honored to invite Waller to visit China. All depends. Hi Robert, how's going now? Please let me and readers in China hear that you're ok.

Thank you for your information. I had finished my research paper. Thank you all the same. I like his novels, and many people had read his novels, but only a few of them remembered his name. So I wrote that research paper to let most of my friends or the people, who had read his novels, remember his name, because he is one of my favorite authors.

In the above book reference is made to a bird of prey called "Timmermans hawk" Fellow birders both here and in Canada are puzzled as we are unable to locate this in any book on Birds of Prey of North America. This is more than likley a local name given to a bird of that region. If any one out there can solve this please advise. Many Thanks

Waller's first wife is named Georgia. She moved to Texas with him. They had one daughter named Rachael. Some of his best writing is in a book of essays entitled "Old Songs in a New Cafe", one of which is "Excavating Rachael's Room".

Vivian, RJW is originally from Iowa. He was a business professor at UNI in Cedar Falls. As you know, he's one of the greatest writers of our time.
