It is difficult to know what is ahead in each page, yet necesary to review all the strong feelings that arose in me the first time. I feel brave jumping inside again. Gifter writter Mr. Hosseini. A story like this one is enough, if you never want to writte another one again this will do just fine, forever. But I can't wait to see what else you have to tell me!

The book is amazing. I would love to see how or if Sohrab can recover.
You are truly gifted. Looking forward to reading your next book.

Wow! I just finished the book and found it to
be one of the best I've ever read. Even knowing
it was novel, I felt truth behind each word. I wept
several times while reading it and could see a visual image of it in my head as if I were watching
a movie. What an amazingly gifted writer! It was
a page turner from the first to the very last page.

This book was the best book I have ever read in my life. It has so many good themes and it is very important that American people learn more about Afghanistan as The Middle East is in the news so often. I love this book and think it is a must-read for every person in the world

This book is amazing.I am Afghan and I read this book because some of my co-workers at the University I work at told me about it. The book brought tears to my eyes and made me realize all the things I had missed out on in Afghanistan. Khaled Jan, you are an amazing and gifted writer. I can't wait for your next book. Outstanding book.

Wow! What a gifted writer you are! You have given me a broader appreciation for Afghanistan and its culture. This story truly proves that no matter what sins lie in the past, "there is a way to be good again."

The character development in this novel was excellent, and it serves as a base for all of us who read the book to look into our own lives and discover that, truly, "There is a way to be good again."

Thank you for giving me a window into Afghanistan, before and after so many wars. Moreover, you have demonstrated again, the universality of literature in revealing the human condition. The themes, the human dilemma posed could have been placed anywhere - in pre- 9/11/73 Chile, in the United States - most anywhere, anytime. Guilt, remorse, evil, atonement are the universals. Assef, unfortunately, exists anywhere, hopefully not often. Understanding Amir and Baba, little by little as the book progressed was in itself worth the read.
