"A Rose In Winter" by Kathleen Woodiwiis is absolutely the best in romantic fiction. Although I keep up with current bestselling fiction, for years I've read & reread A Rose In Winter. I agree that it would make an excellent film, a la Polanski's "Tess of the D'berville's". It's so well-written that it feeds any true romantic's imagination and soul!

I have been reading her books for over 20 years. I have attempted to read books by others, but they are not as well writen as Kathleens are. So now I just read the same ones. My favorite is Come Love A Stranger. Ashton sounds so handsome. If only I could find such a man.

It has been driving me crazy to find a similar author. Katahleen is my fav by far, and I have been very spoiled with all of her books no one else seems to be able to get it right. it's hard to have a fav but i loved the reluctant suitor. I'm drawing a blank but the one with Synnovea was marvelous! I wish there were more I am starting a season beyond "A Season Beyond A Kiss" tonight.

I love all of Kathleen's books but Shanna is my favorite. I've read it about 6 times and the others maybe only 3. I'd love to know more about the author. Please write more books! Thank you for for gift of writing!

My mom and I's favorite book is a Rose in Winter. This was I think one of her best books. My mom and I have read most of Kathleen Woodiwiss books. This would be a good book to become a movie. I loved the story line. That was awesome and My mom is determined to have it into a movie.

I have read all the books that Ms. Woodiwiss has written. One of my favorites is The Flame and the Flower, which is her first book. I have read it about 4 times and am now going to get it from the library on tape and listen to it, just fininished Ashes in The wind and as of today started reading The Reluciant Suitor. Thank you Ms. Woodiwiss for your great books..PLEASE wrote another about the South and Plantations....Love those books.
