wow, its worth reading for the last few pages? honey, you have got it all wrong...haven't you ever heard that the journey is more important than the destination? you would take nothing away from the book if you just read the last few pages. the story is the important part, everything has a significance. if you didn't find that out the first time you read it, i suggest you read it again.

I've read this book 2 for school and loved it! I dont know how a grown women really gave it the slant of a little girl. I think its funney that Harper Lee only wrote one book, she's a great writter, even if the first to pages are slow.

to kill a mockingbird is the best book ever!! the first few pages are a real drag but once you get past them, the rest is excellent. It is worth to read it just for the last few pages! Very unpredictable ending. loved it!!

yea, there were a lot of things to get out of this book, about growing up, learning, prejudice, and just human emotion in general. its so easy for people to misunderstand someone because they are different, but for a child to understand what most adults couldn't is just amazing. im not sure if it had very much simplicity in it, i suppose the small town aspect was, but it had so many details, and so much going on, and so many dynamic characters. like i said before, i would recomend it to anyone who hasn't read it yet. <3

This book is my favorite. I'm a 15 year old and I had to read it in class....I LOVED IT. Its got so many hidden feelings and emotions. Despite what you think, this book is hardly about racism, its about the experiences a little girl can experience in a small town. Its about how she didn't need to travel the globe to see what the world had to offer, she found it right in her small town. I applaud its simplicity that comes w/ its complicacy

i had to read this over the summer for english...and i have to say i was rather dreading it. but it ended up being one of my favorite books...the beggining was a little slow, but it quickly picked up. it was interesting to see how each character grew as the story progressed...and also how prejudiced people could be, and are still now, not just because of race, but because they don't understand something...and human's tend to fear things they don't understand. anyways, if you haven't read this...you should...and to answer your question tommy, even though it was asked quite a long time ago, i have not heard of that. bye ♥

I wish there was a sequel to To Kill A Mockingbird, I would also love to learn how the characters grew and changed.
