Being a great fan of the CommisarioBrunetti ovels I would love to know if any have been made into films for TV or otherwise and how I can obtain copies. It is ok if they are in Italian. With thanks Pat

I am currently working on the translation of Donna Leon's "A Venetian Reckoning". I try to make footnotes explaining what this or that sight in Venice is famous for, whenever it is mentioned. But this time I just can't make out which statue is ment in the following passage: "Directly in front of him was the statue Brunetti had always thought of as the Meringue Man? so starkly white and porous was marble from which he was carved. Other people, seeing the pile of books that seemed to issue from beneath his coat, called him something more indelicate" If anyone could help me in identifying this mysterious :)) statue I'll be very grateful. My e-mail is email@example.com

Ihave enjoyed many of the books For me much of the pleasure are the walks/journeys around Venice including the bars etc
Does anyone in Venice offer Brunetti walks? probably featured around one or two novels. I for one would be interested to go etc

blood back in the 40's. Knew Mamie,
Albert & the gal who stood on her
head. I have old home video of Donna
when she was in pig-tales down on the
Farm. She has gone a long way since.
