I have loved the Seven Towers, and the Lyra series for years, and unfortunately, it is extremely difficult to find them in good condition anymore, simply because the few copies that were made, have been re-read to the point of exhaustion. The local libraries have to request them from other libraries, and you can't find them in book stores anymore. If you're lucky, they might be on amazon in halfway decent shape. I'm sure i'm not the only one who has loved these books, and if they were re-released i would buy multiple copies to share with others. i was hoping that perhaps the publishers might be looking into a fresh release date for these books? it's certainly long overdue.

I teach fifth grade and my students are writing to authors. Does anyone know how to write to Patricia C. Wrede? I know she lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The Magician's Ward is one of my all-time favorite books. It is clever, humorous, and engaging; just like all of your other books! I would thank you for writing, but it seems like you write because you love to, not because your some girl out west thoroughly enjoys your books. So, thank you for doing what you love and sharing it with us. Oh, by the by, Mairelon is one of the coolest characters in any book I've ever read, and i've read loads of books! How did such a fun character form themselves in your mind?
