I love the Douglas Adams books. They are so random and funny. Like, who would have guessed the answer to the Ultimate Question is 42? And as for an Electric Monk who believes the world is pink??? I am only 14, but I have read all his books I can find, and any of my friends who have read the books or seen the movie love it! If you happen to be surfing the net and see this, read the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy ASAP!!!

Ive seen the movie and it is excellent@. good choice for Arthur. i am currently reading So long and thanks for all the fish, which happens to be the films opening number as sung by (of course) dolphins.

After reading several articles about the movie and the books, I keep hearing about stage productions. I would like to see one, or at the very least, find a copy of one of the scripts.

Personally, I enjoy the h2g2 novels much more, but reading the Dirk Gently series is still a rewarding DNA experience. Even though I might not always catch the plot, I think the most enjoyable element of his stories were how the most RANDOM things in the world (and I do mean random) happened to weave together in a funky sort of blanket that made you feel warm on the inside for reading it.

I assume you are referring to Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency...It (The Couch)has nothing to do with the story...it's just one of those funny things...haven't you ever moved and while you were moving there was a winding stairway or strangely shaped hallway and you got the couch in the hallway but then it got stuck and you couldn't get it out...and you thought if I got the couch in...it should be able to go out...but for some reason it won't budge...believe it or not this has happened to me on more than one occasion.

What the heck did a stuck couch have anything to do with the whole plot? how was that explained? I have a feeling like I missed something.

Is it just me, or is the movie going to be AMAZING!

Does anyone remember who it is that wrote the worst poetry in the universe?

I was just wondering, waht was the name of the planet humans were originally from. You know that planet that was "doomed" when everyone from it tried to get rid of everyone else, like the stupid people. My friend has the book so I can't look it up right now.
