Other readers and TV viewers may have made this connection too. The 1995 TV series "Slidders" owes a lot of premise to Eye in the Sky. The changing universes that shift between the minds of people caught in the accidental breakdown of a high energy particle accelerator is very much like the TV premise of moving to alternate Earths.

The Last Of The Masters (aka Protection Agency) appeared in Orbit Science Fiction, Nov-Dec 1954 When getting rid of high tech mayhem becomes a way of life for some people. [PKDick said in 1978: "Now I show trust of robot as leader, a robot who is the suffering servant, which is to say a form of Christ. Leader as servant of man: leader who should be dispensed with -- perhaps. An ambibuity hangs over the morality of this story. Should we have a leader or should we think for ourselves? Obviously, the latter, in principle. But -- somethinmes there lies a gulf between what is theoretically right and that which is practical. It's interesting that I would trust a robot and not an android. Perhaps it's because a robot does not try to deceive you as to what it is."]

Sales Pitch appeared in Future, June 1954 Fed up with advertising and want to get away? Well, maybe in another solar system there will be some relief, maybe. [PKDick said in 1978 that he didn't like the ending either.]
