In the book the Lovely Bones, Alice ties in details of her rape into Susie's. She's sort of used as an alter-ego, and reading the Lovely Bones really connects you to the author. I have read both Lucky and the Lovely Bones and would highly recommend them to anyone.

i also just finished reading the book, it was pretty good, i really want to read lucky. After the first few chapters it got extremely long and boring but it catches up..i didnt really like the way mr harvey died at the end. Altogether it was a good book i would recomend this book to anyone who likes to read alot of descriptions

Hey! I love that book too. If I had to describe it, I think the book is about the journey people have to go through when they lose someone and the way it changes the family of the person that is lost. I like to think that the book is named "The Lovely Bones" not because of Susie Salmons body, but because when we lose someone, we form "bones" (a protective structure) to help us get through that loss.

i just inished the book and thought that it is the best book i ave ever read in my life. the openg line is the best it really just says flat out that the book is about a girlnamed susie salmon who was murderedon December 6,1973. what the problem with the book was that after capter 15 it was starting to get more vaugh. the question i have you fellow readers is, 'm doing oral report on the book and i dont know how to desribe the book to my class
