I saw Alicia when she came to my sons highschool in Kansas several years ago. I cried my way through the book and then the 2 times she when she spoke. I now read the book atleast once a year. She touched my heart unlike anyone else ever has.

Alicia - stayed up all night reading your book, I couldn't put it down. Your story is a miracle, the way God kept bringing people into your life at just the right time. Your story helps us to journey on in such a crazy upside down world, when nothing makes sense to just.keep.going. You didn't let bitterness consume you and you're unselfish acts just floored me. I am so inspired by you and your gumption. Thank you for your courage to tell us your story. How proud your Mama must be,you did it!! They didn't win, you did it!!!

I just wanted to let readers know that Alicia has a new book "Six Cherry Blossoms and Other Stories" that includes four of her stories including a prequel and sequel to her book.
