Mac Fletcher Message Board

James Arlington posts on 2/1/2009 4:33:05 PM Another cracking book by Mac Fletcher, which I read some time ago, and I fear is sadly no longer available, is "Forever April." Whilst a lot of the humour found in Death Must Go On is evident, the roller-coaster story is more of a thriller about a young lad whose mother is murdered. Richy, the youth, sets out to prove his mother's innocence and find himself in the process. While the title is somewhat romantic compared with the dark comedy found in Death etc. the title is misleading at times. It's not a sloppy romance, but a must read thriller to my mind. Characterisation is again strong, though inclined to be surreal. This, however did not detract from an exciting and highly worthwhile read. If I trace the book's availability I will post on this website
