Can anyone tell me what date is Ms Axline's birthday. And does she have any living relatives.

Virginia Axiline passed away in 1988. Her work is still followed at the University of North Texas by Dr. Gary Landreth, who is the most Orthodox Axlinian child centered practitioner.
He has written several books, if you are interested contact the Association for Play Therapy.

I have read the book Play Therapy by Dr. Axline. I use this therapy in my work with children with special needs. I would like a contact detail of Dr. Axline whereby I can establish a link with her. The book has given many insights in therapy and parenting.

I have just read "Dibs In Search of Self." It is a great book, but I feel that I want more. What has happened to Dibs? If anyone finds out any information about this, please post.
Thanks,
Jan

The story of Dibs reminds me very much of my son. Does any one know what Dibs' ultimate diagnosis was? My highly intelligent son was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome at the age of six.

I worked with Dr. Axline when receiving my PhD. at Ohio State. The experience was many years ago. I am now 80. She was younger. I would like to locate her.
I will never forget her book. I would like all those in education and social work to read it.
So much research has been done in autisim Incidents have increased. I am working with a county council on families.
I would like to find Dr.Axline.

I just read Dibs and have not been able to get the story out of my mind. As much as I'd love to know what ever happened to this remarkable young man, I'm afraid we'll never know unless he were to reveal himself to us. At the same time, given the confidential nature of the book, I wonder if Dibs himself even knows there is a book about him?
Anyway, I was wondering if there has ever been a film made based on the book. I did a search and found that in 2005 a man named Peter Palliser from the UK wrote a screenplay, but I don't know if it was ever made into a film.
Does anyone have any information about this?
