I just finished reading "Looking for Peyton Place" and opened the Miami Herald to read and what did I find? The heading said "Mercury-removal effort has holes, states claim". The article is long and has to do with the mercury in the on/off lights in cars. "Steel makers who buy junked cars with the switches removed won't have to install air-purifig devices to remove mercury from teir waste, since there shouldn't be any mercury pesent in the recycled car steel." (There is much more)
If you want, I will send you the article. But I was just floored when I saw this. What gave you the idea to write about Mercury poisening?
I enjoy your books. Keep them coming!

I wonder why this message board is so dead? I love Barbara Delinsky's books. I just finished LOOKING FOR PEYTON PLACE and have to say she has done a masterful job on this one. I would advise reading PEYTON PLACE by Grace Metalious first in order to get a better understanding of LOOKING FOR PEYTON PLACE.
