I just noticed this posting! Terms like "Federation" and "Empire" have been common in science fiction for many years -- they are no more unique to particular authors than "starship." There is no reason to think that my book was ever read by George Lucas, let alone that it influenced Star Wars.

i noticed that Enchantress was written before Star Wars ever came out, and it mentions "Younglings ", and "empire", a "Federation", and "Basic" all of which are in Star Wars, and i was wondering if this book was a source of inspiration for George Lucas.
