You just have to read the entire Deborah Knott series - it's great! Usually surprise endings. But what I really like is the development of the characters in her books. I am always rooting for Deborah, and wish I was southern so that I could relate more closely to the situations she writes about. If you read Rita Mae Brown, you should read Margaret Maron!!
