Over 20 yrs. ago I wrote Mrs. Harris a letter about how much I liked her novel Hatter Fox and told her that I would be a better person for having read her book. A few months later I received a short letter from her thanking me for my comments and telling me how much what I said meant to her. I was very surprised to get her letter written in her own handwriting and on her own personal stationery. The envelop even had her home address in Oklahoma. I still have her letter and love having it. Her story really touched me, and I have never forgotten it. By the way, I actually used her book in several of my high school English classes, and my students also liked her book very much.

For Marilyn Harris. Started reading Eden series by happening on Eden and Honor. Have rounded up all of the series and am waiting for American Eden to be delivered. Am absolutely hooked!!
In the meantime am reading some already read, over again and have never enjoyed any book as much as which ever one I happen to be reading! Amazing writing.Would love to know if there is any factual history in these books. Based on real people and castle?

Reply to Glen McIntyre:
Marilyn Harris, a friend of mine since college, died in the '80s or '90s. You could probably find details on the University of Oklahoma website.

This was posted by me on this website in June 2007
Marilyn Harris' Eden Series was written in this order: This Other Eden (1977), the Prince of Eden (1978), The Eden Passion (1979), The Women of Eden (1980), Eden Rising (1982), American Eden (1987) and Eden and Honor (1989). They are all fabulously written, amazingly entertaining and highly memorable.
