i have the honor of being the first posting, love your writings, again i would like to see some credible professionals to come to gisela valley near payson, ariz. and write about the cultures that previously inhabited this community. there were many going back to the neolithic.have the artifacts and pics of the sites to prove what is probably the largest site in north america.a hopi elder has verified many of the artifacts as being related to his "turtle" clan. there is a huge and magnificent story waiting here for you to participate in.....redwolf

I live in the town of Gisela, in Gila County, Arizona. Tonto Creek runs through our valley. The Forest Service says that the ruins in a couple of spots in our valley are "Salado" and that the Apache also used these sites in a transient manner....a friend and I believe that the entire valley was host to an enormous community dating back 5-6 thousand years, possibly a religious center and a precursor to the Hopi peoples and maybe the Mayans. There is evidense of multiple dwellings on every hilltop and all along the creek over the entire valley. The last survey by the Forest Service was more than a half a century ago. I worry about the pot hunters and off-road bikers destroying evidence...you can find neolithic stone tools in driveways, backyards, everywhere you go in this town and in the surrounding forest. I'm posting this message as an open invitation to the Gears to contact me in person. I have a lot of photographic evidence and can personally guide then to many of the sites I've discovered. This area needs serious archeological scrutiny and protection. Plz help!

I have relocated to Costa Rica but still have mailing address in Florida. Looking for someone that is willing to part with these copies. Cheap if possible.
Love the series and want to re-read but with the missing copies. I have hung on to mine for years hoping to find the missing ones.

After reading all the First North American series and the Anasazi Mystery series, I was at a loss until I picked up Michael Gear's books, The Morning River and Coyote Summer. What great writing. I would love to read more about Richard Hamilton, Heals Like a Willow and Travis.

i was just wondering if anyone knows why the time line in the front of the books has the books set out the way they are? i understand the time but why are they set out the way they are? is it by place or lineage etc?

I just finished PotR as I have been folloeing the Kennewick saga since the original find. Also thanks for the prologue and epilogue regarding that find and others.
My question is, did I miss something or was "Coyote" never identified?

I agree with Stephanie that People of the Earth was very good. I have read all the People books except the first novel...People of the Wolf. My favorite is People of the Lakes....once I started it, I couldn't put it down.
