John R. Maxim Message Board

SeanO posts on 6/3/2010 7:16:52 PM The Aisha Prophecy was available on my Kindle for iPhone app, and I purchased it through Amazon. Unfortunately, what was downloaded was the cover, some critical quotes, liner notes, etc., BUT NO BOOK or TOC! After several weeks of trying to remedy the problem, Amazon just suggested refunding my money. At Barnes and Noble, the book is listed as being in their "print on demand" list. When I offered to pay for having a copy printed, they wouldn't even begin to estimate how long it would take. What is the problem???
Beth Nunley posts on 3/3/2010 9:48:03 PM I have read everything by Maxim (many times more than once). That being said, I now own my second Kindle and I do not waste trees reading paper books. So please, please, please publish The Aisha Prophecy on the Kinde. The e book format is the coming thing.
fvlanier posts on 1/7/2010 12:52:36 AM First, let me say that I have read everything John R. Maxim creates and all of them are keepers. I can not count the times I have reread his books over the years. But every time I read The Bannerman Series, I can not get over Susan Lesko being a worthy love match, much less a ideal woman for Bannerman. Despite being a policeman's daughter, she is still the most stupid, stubborn, and naive female I have ever seen. She does NOT fit the group and she is the weak link throughout the Bannerman series and her ignorance and stupidity endanger the team over and over again. I just do not get Susan Lesko. Does anyone else feel this way? Now to keep from ruining my re-reading of all things Bannerman...I skip over any part that Susan is actively involved in...because I find myself thinking, "Sheesh, Mr. Maxim, you should have written her out of this awesome group of people and have given Bannerman someone who will not endanger him 24/7." If you are checking these message boards, Mr. Maxim, I would be interested to know WHY you let Susan Lesko live? I also, as expected love The Aisha Prophecy...Excellent...a page turner, that I did not put down until I had finished it!

Lee posts on 5/12/2009 4:40:13 PM What has happened to John R. Maxim's new book, The Aisha Prophecy? Last news on his website said it was in the hands of his agent, over a year ago. Also, his name no longer appears on HarperCollins author list. What is up? Even if he had died, they would have published the book, wouldn't they?
