I'm looking for a Dorothy Garlock book about a family that had some tourist courts in the 1940's. It has about the everyday things they had to do. The title is something like Open Road. Would appreciate your help.

To Christine, a good substitute for Garlock is LaVyrle Spencer. She is a marvelous author. Her "Years" and "Twice Loved" are top notch. Buy, read and enjoy.

I have read every book Dorothy Garlock has written. Does anyone know of an auhtor with similar writings? I love the period she writes about, but would be happy to find an author that writes such vivid characters.

If you go to Dorothy Garlock website (has the same name)there is a list of books under "books". There is even recipes from the books. Will definitely try the everyday cake.
