I just picked up a kindle and tried out a new series - new to me. Anyway what the author did was to take the first 3 books in her out of print series and offer them in one kindle download - three books for the price of one. I thought that was a cool idea and wonder why a lot more authors dont do it - of course a lot of them may want to put up their books separately, but dollarwise this is a good deal.

Maybe the hobo book is "Down And Out In Beverly Hills" if that was a book.

The hobo book sounds a bit like The Big Fix. Was made into a Richard Dreyfuss movie but started out as a novel.

I think most of us at some time think our life story is worth talking about but unless you are going to self publish it and promote it yourself you have to look at it from the view of a publisher who has to put money into the production of your book. They are not even going to say Is This An Interesting Story but only will it sell? And even thats a gamble.

Do you ever feel that you should be writing a book. Most of my life I've believed I would write a book and many times I have started one. When it gets difficult I drop it or another story comes out of what I originally planned. It also taught me that I could not remember may details about my childhood. Others in the family get together talking about our youth and it is as if they came from another place altogether. Still, inside I know there is a story there: some things other's need to know: some things that are interesting and exciting, but.... until my brain wakes up.... or something... I'll continue to enjoy the writings of those who have the awesome gift of writing.
