I have just finished reading this book.what really inspired me is waris undying spirit and more specifically to change her life and that of those around her for the better. waris story is an experience to learn from.

I have read this book twice. I am a college student taking a Sociology of Sex class. We discussed female mutilation and I shared with my class the story of Waris Dirie. I love this book. It is a very motivational book. It makes you think, If Waris could accomplish what she has through all her difficult circumstances I know I can accomplish my goals I have set. I have encouraged my classmates and my professor to read this book.

The story Desert Flower gave me hope and so much inspiration. Reading this story made me relise how lucky I am to live in a country with lots of fresh water, plenty of food and my whole family with me. Waris Dirie is an inspirational, couragous and beautiful person. I think everyone shouild read this book and I rate it 10/10!
