Caro says that he is primarily interested in the study of power, so by his own instincts his next subject should be the Jewish-Israeli lobby in the USA--which today has veto power on D.C. on anything to do with Israel and which controls most of the important media--such that the original terrorism of the occupation has been forgotten.
But whether Caro, the genius for Johnson, would like to or not, his chance of getting cooperation is not very high.
If full power is not to face any negative consequences and to have no checks and balances, Israel and Israeli Lobby have far more power than LBJ ever dreamed of--but it will never be described.
Now, that's power!

I am in the process of reading "The Power Broker" and would like to start a book discussion group with other interested readers.
Whatever flaws Moses had, and they were many, he brought parks, playgrounds, beaches and recreation to millions of people that did not have them. Moses was overly glorified during his lifetime but his accomplishments have been dimininished by Caro. I would like to hear from others and their opinion of Moses.
Moses's making of Jones's beach is still a model for those of us who consider ourselves urban planners that if you think big, impossible things can happen.
