Madison Macy posts on 2/10/2013 1:45:49 AM Hi there! I'm a HUGE fan of the hunger games series. I'm not a big reader and don't usually read books but friends somehow got me to read these one and I am SO glad they got me to. I have a question though: Prims name was chosen for the 74th hunger games but then Katniss volunteered to take her place. Could Prims name be called again? Or no? Thanks!!
Austin A.k.a I love your books. posts on 9/12/2012 9:21:33 PM Suzanne, You MUST! MUST MUST MUST! Keep righting Gregor books! I miss all of them! D: Please!!!
Chelle Eastman posts on 7/11/2012 8:23:17 PM I'm not a "young reader" but really enjoyed the Hunger Games trilogy...until "Mockingjay" which I found dreary and full of flaws and implausibilities. SPOILER ALERT: Do not read further if you have not read "Mockingjay" and/or don't want to know plot details before reading. 1. After all they'd been through, NO ONE from District 12 would have voted yes to any continuation of the games, least of all Katniss and Haymitch. This is completely unrealistic, even given the rather cold blooded nature and PTSD-type personality assigned to Katniss (and I know a LOT about these matters personally and professionally.) The last thing traumatized people want is more innocent blood shed or bloodshed. 3. I find it laughable that this is considered "young reader" material given the level of gratuitous violence...and YES it was gratuitous. Tiny children's body parts being blown off is FAR more obscene than ANY amount of graphic sexuality anyone could describe in the most minute breath by breath detail. I was horrified, and given I'm a BSN with many years of practice, including surgical nursing, that's not easy to do. 4. The deaths of Finnick and Prim were not in the least necessary to the plot and I sincerely hope they're removed from the film version, assuming the plan is to do the entire trilogy. 5. Prim should have lived and worked with Peeta, and eventually that would have blossomed into a true loving relationship--something Katniss could never give him because her heart is forever linked to Gale and he will always know that, and so will Katniss. 6. Gale and Katniss are the obvious match, and the LAST thing she would have been satisfied doing, at least immediately, is settling down and playing "Suzie Home-maker." Gale and Katniss are EQUALS, they share values and passions and more importantly have a relationship built on a long history of friendship, trust and love. Pity is not a reason to be with someone. I am a published author myself and I am very comfortable saying Ms. Collins blew this one big time.
Isaac posts on 3/5/2012 2:55:36 PM I was thinking of an actor who could play Finnick in the second movie. Suddenly it struck me, what do you guys think about Ryan Reynolds as Finnick?
Arianne posts on 3/1/2012 12:04:43 PM wow i loved the books, but the ending was fuzzy. she should've ended up with gale! awwwwwww. i finished it a long tme ago but i still can't believe it. "Katniss will choose whoever she cannot survive without" W-O-W. i would've thought it would be gale. i can't believe he just left. there needs to be a fourth book! the kids could go into the arena! wait theres no arena anymore......i dunno. love the hunger game!
