2007 Scholarship News: To US & Canadian college and high school students. Avar Press is sponsoring two Literary Essay Scholarship competitions. College deadline is Feb. 28, 2007; high school deadline is May 15, 2007. Essays must be original work, analyzing any aspect of Xen by D.J. Solomon. Use of the essay as part of the writer's school work in any capacity is permitted. Submissions must be 1250-1500 words. Cash prizes of $300-$500 will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners of each competition.

Avar Press is now accepting submissions for cash awards, publication of the best high school essays analyzing D. J. Solomon's "Xen: Ancient English Edition." The contest is free and open to all rising US juniors & seniors. Cash prizes total $1700.00. Deadline: June 30, 2006.
