Has anyone heard when Brad Steel's next novel, Crude is coming out? I read the excerpt at the back of Mute and it has me hooked.

I agree. Or why not spin off Dr. Duncan Henderson's character? The doc is wiley, witty, and not scared to get down and dirty.
When I read "Mute," I couldn't help but think it would make an awesome film -- with Anne Heche in the role of Kat Francis, of course. What say, Anne? Got any better offers lately? LOL,

I think Brad Steel should write a sequel to Mute, or better yet spin off the protagonist's best friend Zaina Marikar into a series of her own! She's sexy, fun -- and Muslim! It would be perfect! I can imagine the globtrotting Zaina using her journalistic skills to chase evildoers around the world, while seducing mysterious men.
Anyone with me?
