Mr. Khan posts on 1/3/2006 12:30:35 AM I love the book. The book deals with unusual issues that never touched by any other author before. The meaning to survive and stablize life are the theme of this book. I think the ending is dramatic but well done. Also, the book has so many allusions and so many symbols that made the book more interesting to read and stretch our mind to think.
lux posts on 6/27/2005 1:33:38 PM i thought that at first the book was quiet slow paced and made you read over certain parts as the book didnt have the readers full attention however towards the middle the book suddenly Golding had used excellent characters to bring the reader into the book and we feel hooked on from then onwards Goldings look on life is very realistic as it emphasises the importance that all humans understand the evil in humanity also i found that by writing in 3rd person Golding has given us a clear unbias account of the novel, personally i read the book as it was very popular but now i think it is an extraordinary book which emphasises the cruelty in life its wiked you should read it

Sally posts on 3/17/2005 11:13:29 PM What parts of the novel are considered opptimistic?? Does the novel portray opptimistic over pessimistic>?
Paige posts on 3/7/2005 2:47:08 PM I am reading this book and watching the movie about the lord of the flies (which we just finished.) I loved the movie, yet it made me cry in many parts! I wouldn't mind watching it over and over!
book reader posts on 2/23/2005 2:38:57 PM Personally, I think that this book was absolutely horrible.
DICK MAN posts on 1/13/2005 9:12:24 PM Is LORD OF THE FLIES pessimistic or optimistic in its outlook on our world?
