Christina posts on 7/17/2007 8:55:11 PM Is the town setting in Here on Earth a fictional town? Jenkintown?
ESH posts on 2/4/2006 11:28:40 PM I have not read an of Ms Hoffman's books yet but I was introduced to her work tonight on screen when I saw River King. Very enjoyable and makes looking to her written work likely. I am confused though. Can anyone tell me what the "smudge" in the photo was; apparently I missed something.
Ellen's group posts on 12/28/2005 3:29:00 PM Is her style of writing called magical realism, (i.e.) Turtle Moon, Practical Magic?
Kristen posts on 10/5/2005 12:06:53 AM Unfortunately, there was a "Here on Earth" starring Leelee Sobieski and Josh Hartnet, but it didn't have the same plot. I think it's REALLY time for someone to make a film true to the book. I read that Michael Douglas's production company bought the rights for it, but I can't find ANYTHING else. Does anyone know anything about this?
Marissa posts on 9/17/2005 1:32:04 PM I loved the book Local Girls. It was a pleasure to read and I couldn't put it down. I was very upset when it was over! I did enjoy this book.
