Katie posts on 4/4/2007 11:48:17 PM I love Brian James' books but it's definitely not fun when I pick him to read for a book project and there's no biographys out there! (score 0/20) At least the books were amazing. It's nice to see something a teenager can actually relate to and feel as if the author's on the same level.
Briana posts on 11/3/2006 7:48:10 PM I just came across and read this book, and I also could not put it down. I'm now looking out for Dirty Liar, there is no way I could not read it.

posts on 5/24/2006 11:04:04 AM I came across this and figured I could answer everyone's questions. Yes, Perfect World is inspired by Mt. Laurel...that's where I grew up...though the actual setting is undetermined. However, it is know that is 3 hours away from NYC (because the girl Gretchen is the same girl as in my book TOMORROW MAYBE and it's stated there.) The companion book to Perfect World came out a few months ago, it's called DIRTY LIAR and is told by Benji. In all I have 4 novels (Pure Sunshine; Tomorrow Maybe; Perfect World; Dirty Liar). And yes, I'm also the author of the children's book The Shark Who Was Afriad of Everything. In addition I wrote a 4 book children's series called The Supertwins (The Supertwins Meet the Bad Dogs from Space; The Supertwins and the Terrible Tooth Snatcher; The Supertwins Meet the Dangerous Dino-Robots; The Supertwins and the Sneaky Slimy Bookworms). I have a new chapter book series coming out next year called CATKID.
posts on 5/6/2006 12:34:36 PM I think that Brian James' book Perfect World should be made into a movie. I came across the book late yesterday afternoon and I loved it so much that didn't put it down until I was done and when I was done I read it again. I think the book would make a really phenomenal movie.
posts on 5/1/2006 11:04:16 AM is this the same brian james who wrote the shark who was afraid of everything? If so, can someone give me a list of all his books.
tracie posts on 9/24/2005 10:47:29 AM I'm not sure where "Perfect World" is set exactly, but it does have a rather east coast feel to me. Mr. James grew up in Philadelphia and currently lives in New York City. Hope that helps, tracie
lisa posts on 9/22/2005 11:36:42 AM does his book "perfect world" take place in mount laurel, new jersey?
