I was browsing through the book store yesterday and found this book. I had to have it because Jonas Salk saved my life. When I was almost 2 I came down with polio. I was the first case in the Davidson County area in Tennessee. I do not remember being in the hospital at such a young age but I kept the piece from the paper for years. Unfortunately I have lost it. My daughter did an essay on me and the fact that I had polio when she was in college, and got an A of which I am very proud. Thank you for writing this book so I can come to know the man that was so passionate about saving peoples lives, especially children. I haven't started the book as yet but I am guessing that it is going to wonderful. Again, thank you Nancy
