dear, Ana. If I may ask questions, concerning your works I would like to ask you next:
1Carmen Santos - does her surname meant Saint, if yes then for what reason?
2What does the title mean(An Anti- romance in 3/8 meter?
3What do you mean by saying that Sapogonia is a place of frogs?
4Manolio is an alley cat. Why are the cats present in your novels?
Thank you very much

A great novel of modern voice touching more traditinal styles of life.
I love how Ana Castillo touches on themes affecting the subaltern. They are very serious themes. However, she manages to present them through magic realism in a package full of humor, sadness, and beauty. A must read.

Kindly be informed that I am an Iraqi literarist. I wish to have Ana Castillo's e-mail . It might be of some use to both of us - her and me - to enrich our thoughts about poetry.
If it is ' impossible' to get the right of my demand , then 'leave' me alone.
I trust this may not interfer with the line of your interest.
