would it be possible for you to write or bring us an updated story on the dolphins of pern.
We saw them in the book of the same name and never heard of them again .
Iwould like to know if at least they survived.

I want to put out a ideal for a new series of Dragonriders of Pern book. The ideal is about when the last pass of the red star is almost done a new menace comes from space. This new menace is either alien or human that has come to explort Pern of is resources. It also should tell how Pern has adopted the knowleged it has gain from Aivas. It could also tell on the heels of these aliens or humans that a space force has come to help Pern fight this menace and to estaplish communication with the rest of humanity.

the next book is dragon fire. it will be 304 pages and eill cost about $16. i think it will be his best book. i am a big McCaffry fan and will hope not to be disapointed in the next book but i am sure that todd will be good. it is writen by Todd McCaffry and Ann McCaffry like Dragons Kin so it sould be good.

I am a 35-year fan of Anne McCaffrey's and just finished Dragonsblood. Todd McCaffrey did a wonderful job of keeping the same tone as his mother's style with some of his own sneaking in; especially in the dramatic parts. My only suggestion is ... can you make the next book longer?

It was good to have another Pern story. I was apalled at the loss of Arith. Too sad. But that would not stop me from reading any of the future books Todd writes. I've read the whole series of Pern some excellant and some not so good, but it's Pern and I will read them all.
A Pern fan.

I have been waiting for the next adventure on Pern and I have not been disappointed - Todd you are equal to your mother who I also thank for the hours of reading and enjoyment I get from your books.

Can someone tell Todd that it's not that hard to make antibiotics? Wind Song would have better spent her time developing a strain of bacteria that produce pennicillin rather than teaching recominant genetics.

I say you are wrong about Mr.McGaffrey The book was very well written. The dragons of Telgar did come back and it was Lorana's sacrifice that saved all of Pern! Read the book a little closer and you will see that it is a book that Anne is proud of. Todd did a marvelous job.

I read this, it was an interesting read, it was definately the son of Anne. After the "Pernese" drought, it was a welcome reprieve. I was enraptured from cover to cover, the whole reading taking about 9 hours. As Wind Blossom would attest, it was a new creation that seemlessly fit into Anne's world.., almost.
What it did, however, was WRONG!
Just because you can go that far, does not give you literary license to. The ends did not justify the scope of the loss. Shame on you, Todd, and Anne for allowing it to happen. In a world where anything is possible, you drew the line. Anne's novels were all about the righteous gaining the upper hand with little or no loss and the wicked condemed with both loss and tradgedy. This was something foul. The dragons are NOT to be touched! Bring back Arith, Telgar, Aseth and your sense of responsiblility to your readers. We retreat to your world as a haven from the retchedness you have now allowed in. It is not too late.., is it?
