Pat Barker Message Board

Elena Conway posts on 4/12/2008 9:32:55 AM "Regeneration" by Pat Barker is a great read. But it doesn't portray Robert Graves very well and focuses too much on his relationship with Sassoon which seems to border on the love/divide.

bazil posts on 11/16/2006 11:16:19 AM dont read it. its so bad the book is rubbish. what kind of writter jumps from scene to scene, i thought an author wants readers to want to keep reading their book not make them feel sick from spinning so many scenes. around but its ok she uses a double line space whats that all about its just confusingdont read it !

posts on 10/4/2006 10:02:56 AM i no how elisha feels, i've gotta do it for a2 as well. I kinda like the book tho and i'm not finding it all that difficult just the jumping from scene to scene makes my head hurt, having to remember the characters and the problems and all that.... serious headaches! For me it took time to get used to the writing style Pat Barker uses, but when i did it all seemed to fall into place. Hope that kinda helped!
